Indiana County Humane Society

2024 Year End Appeal

Dear Friends of ICHS:

As we come to the end of another year, we’re reaching out to our amazing community for support. The Indiana County Humane Society (ICHS) has provided care and love to hundreds of abandoned, neglected, and surrendered pets this year. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, full of joy, challenges, and, most importantly, the unwavering love of our furry friends. The generosity of people like you has enabled us to provide food, shelter, medical care, and forever homes for countless animals. Every day, new animals in need come through our doors, and with rising costs, we need your help more than ever to keep our shelter open and running smoothly.

There are so many stories to tell but we wanted to let you know about Ajax who we rescued in January 2024 – he’s the German Shepard on the front of this letter.  Ajax was tied out on a short lead in freezing temperatures with no food or water.  He was very underweight, had overgrown nails and hardly had any fur left because of severe mange.  He required lots of veterinary attention and tons of care and love from our staff.  Ajax is now healthy and has been available for adoption since July – he was even our feature shelter pet at our Cause for Paws event!

Ajax is just one of the special animals that became a part of the ICHS Family during 2024.  Pickles and Olive were rescued from poor living conditions and Chewy, Han and Hank came to the shelter because they were abandoned.  If you’d like to learn more about them please go to our website www.incohumanesociety.com.

These rescues highlight that your donation is not just a monetary contribution; it’s a lifeline to a better future for these wonderful animals. We have a clear understanding of what lies ahead for the shelter and we know it will be a challenge for ICHS to keep its doors open in 2025.  Please donate today, and together, let’s give these pets the love and care they deserve.

To donate, please visit our website at www.incohumanesociety.com , use the QR codes below for PayPal or Venmo, or use the enclosed envelope to mail a donation.  90% of donations go towards the care of our animals at the shelter.  Your support is deeply appreciated by the entire ICHS Family and, most importantly, by the animals whose lives you touch.

Thank you from all of us ICHS – we wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season!
